Overview

Chiraghdin Community Health Centre Sialkot was inaugurated on December 28, 2021.

Infection Prevention and Control Foundation in collaboration with Chiraghdin Foundation has established Chiraghdin Community Health Centre Sialkot to provide free medical treatment, patient education, and counseling on various infectious and communicable diseases.

Dr. Muhammad Aslam Chaudhary (Chief Executive Officer, District Health Authority, Sialkot) joined the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Mohammad Sameer Shafi, MD (Chairman Board of Trustees, IPAC Foundation), Sohail Shafi (Member Board of Trustees, IPAC Foundation), Dr. Murtaza Arain (Member Board of Trustees, IPAC Foundation), Abdul Rehman Yaqub (Member Board of Trustees, IPAC Foundation), Rana Zahid (Member Board of Trustees, IPAC Foundation), Arshad Javed (Member Board of Trustees, IPAC Foundation), Ahsan Khan (Chief Executive Officer, Childlife Foundation), Dr. Khalid Mahmood (Program Manager, Hepatitis and Infection Control Program), Dr. Muhammad Asif (Program Manager, Provincial TB Control Program, Punjab), Dr. Waseem Mirza (District Health Officer Preventive Services, Sialkot), Dr. Atif (Treatment Coordinator, Punjab AIDS Control Program) attended the ceremony as Guests of Honor.

Overview

The Members Board of Trustees of Chiraghdin Foundation, and the project team visited the Chiraghdin Community Health Centre, Sialkot led by M. Sameer Shafi, MD (Chairman, Infection Prevention and Control Foundation) on July 11, 2021.

Dr. Umair Haider (Chief Executive Officer, Infection Prevention and Control Foundation) presented the facility flow and the visual updates of different facilities that the Infectious Diseases Center will provide:

-General Infectious Diseases Clinic
-Hepatitis Clinic

-TB Clinic

-Pharmacy

-Diagnostic Lab

-Immunization Room
-Community Hall

Construction quality and requirements were observed and discussed. The construction is speeding up and is expected to be completed soon.

Overview

A delegation led by the Chairman Infection Prevention and Control Foundation, M. Sameer Shafi, MD, held an executive level meeting with the President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Qaiser Iqbal Baryar. Other notable participants of the meeting were CEO Sialkot Medical College, Dr. Imran Idrees Butt and Director Sialkot Medical College, Dr. Salman Imran Butt.

The three parties discussed and agreed upon areas of collaboration for IPAC Infectious Disease Clinic and Chiraghdin Community Health Centre as well as making a VFAHT chapter in Sialkot.

Overview

The groundbreaking ceremony of Chiraghdin Community Health Centre was held on January 23, 2021, in Sialkot. It was attended by the IPAC Foundation Team, the Shafi Family (Pakistan and overseas), the local community of Sialkot and Sialkot Chambers of Commerce and Industry, all of whom pledged their support to this project. The event was covered by local and national media channels and provided hope for quality medical services in the community in order to reduce the burden of infectious diseases from the beautiful and vibrant city of Sialkot.
