The groundbreaking ceremony of this Infectious Diseases Center was held on January 23, 2021, in Sialkot. It was attended by the IPAC Foundation Team, the Shafi Family (Pakistan and Overseas), the local community of Sialkot and Sialkot Chambers of Commerce and Industry, all of whom pledged their support to this project. The event was covered by local and national media channels and provided hope for quality medical services in the community in order to reduce the burden of infectious diseases from the beautiful and vibrant city of Sialkot.
This ancestral haveli belonged to the late Chiraghdin and his sons. The historic place is now being converted into an Infectious Diseases Center in order to serve the local community. In the course of this transformation, we are making sure to preserve the history and maintain the haveli’s unique character that connects the present to the past. The transformation is only limited to structural support. The ground floor comprises a reception area, the Shafi Community Hall, the IPAC Infectious Diseases Center with a telehealth clinic, a screening lab, and an immunization center. Moreover, there will be a lab, a pharmacy, an administration room, and a beautiful courtyard to act as a waiting area. The first floor contains family guest areas and a terrace for family reunions. The foundation of construction was laid down on January 23, 2021. The construction has been speeding up each day and the project will be completed by September 01, 2021.
