On April 21 , 2025, Chiraghdin Community Health Centre (CCHC) in Sialkot hosted a Women and Child Health Day Seminar aimed at raising awareness among local women about key aspects of maternal and child health. The session was led by Dr. Seema Aslam, Medical Officer at CCHC, who addressed the importance of early health education and accessible care. Participants were sensitized on the benefits of breastfeeding, family planning methods, and the range of services available at the centre. Emphasis was also placed on child hygiene, cleanliness, and the critical role of immunization in disease prevention. To promote home-based health monitoring, thermometers were distributed among attendees.

The seminar concluded on a note of empowerment and shared purpose, leaving participants better informed and more confident in making health decisions for themselves and their children. By combining education with practical tools like thermometer distribution, the session reinforced CCHC’s role as a trusted community hub for preventive care and its continued commitment to advancing women and child health in underserved areas.
